About Adam J. Wintz
Located in Flagstaff, Adam provides zealous criminal defense for clients in Northern and Central Arizona. A former prosecutor and public defender, Adam has experience on both sides of the courtroom and wants to help his clients during the most challenging times in their lives. He believes no one should be defined by a single mistake, recognizes that police officers and prosecutors can make mistakes, and understands that every person deserves a dedicated criminal defense attorney in their corner.
Adam brings experience in criminal defense and prosecution, having represented clients at every stage of criminal proceedings, handled criminal trials, and many hearings. His background working with both defendants and law enforcement gives him a well-rounded perspective on the criminal justice system. Most recently, before joining Grand Canyon Law Group in Flagstaff, AZ, Adam was a Deputy Public Defender for the Yavapai County Public Defender’s Office. Adam’s experience demonstrates his deep commitment to public service and the Flagstaff community.
Adam earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Whittier Law School and his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Humanities from Arizona State University. This background gives Adam a strong foundation in legal analysis, critical thinking, and understanding the human experiences that shape each client’s case.
In his free time Adam enjoys being active in the unparalleled beauty of Northern Arizona and is very involved in local theater.
