about Joe Atkinson
Joe Atkinson spent more than 25 years in law enforcement before joining the firm as an investigator, and he brings a rare depth of experience to every case he touches. After a career built on solving serious crimes and getting to the truth, he now uses those same instincts to help build strong, well-documented cases for our clients.
Joe has a knack for spotting the details that matter. He’s skilled at interviewing witnesses, analyzing reports, and piecing together evidence to figure out what really happened. He’s also comfortable working with law enforcement agencies, gathering open-source intelligence, and preparing the kind of clear, thorough documentation that holds up when it counts.
Before coming to the firm, Joe served with the Anaheim Police Department for over two decades, eventually rising to Detective Sergeant. Along the way, he worked homicide, sexual assault, and major traffic investigations, and even supervised a 25-person unit. He also spent time as a Tactical Flight Officer and trained dozens of officers throughout his career.
Outside of the office, Joe is simply someone who cares about getting things right.
